Latino Vote 2000 is a campaign to mobilize one million new voters in 2000. This year, SVREP along with Northeast Voter Registration Education Project (NVEP) and the United States Hispanic Leadership Institute (USHLI), hope to bring the national total to 8 million Latino registered voters.Organizers for SVREP are canvassing in 200 communities in thirteen states with the goal of opening 120-150 non-partisan voter registration and get-out-the-vote projects. Latino Vote 2000 will conduct its non-partisan VoterRegistration and Get-Out-the-Vote campaigns in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Utah, and Washington.
