10-4 Campaign

10-4 is SVREP’s Latino Vote 2003-04’s non-partisan mobilization effort aimed at increasing voter participation in areas where Latinos and other ethnic minorities are concentrated. SVREP will focus on massive mobilization campaigns aimed at young, low-income, and recently registered voters. SVREP’s goal is to mobilize 2 million new Latino voters for the 2004 general elections, raising the national total to 10 million registered voters and 7.5 million votes cast!

To kick this off SVREP will conduct nonpartisan voter participation activities during various periods within Summer 2003-Fall 2004. SVREP efforts will take place in three windows of time: Summer-Fall 2003, Winter-Summer 2004, and Fall 2004 which correspond to the electoral cycles for municipal elections in 2003, primary elections in 2004, and the general elections of 2004.

Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina Oregon, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah and Washington

SVREP will form partnerships with other Latino organizations to conduct activities in the following states:

New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio, Minnesota, Massachusetts, Indiana, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, Arkansas, Virginia and Louisiana

Join SVREP today by supporting Latino Vote 2003! SVREP’s Latino Vote 2002 campaign was a great success in our efforts to increase voter participation as nearly 20,000 new voters were registered nationally in 38 voter registration education projects in 8 states. SVREP get-out-the-vote (GOTV) efforts made 272,760 personal calls and visits contacting nearly 119,751 Latino voters turning 58.5% of them (70,114) to vote. Contact SVREP to host a project in your area.
